The Twang has been our best selling model, it has been received by all our artists and customers in high regard, and has been the foundation for more than 1 Signature model with Eddie doing his VooDoo and VooDoo 2 based off of the Twang, and JT building his Skellacaster off of the Twang.
So when we were asked by a few people to build an 8 string, we decided that the Twang would be a great platform and BAM the "T8" was born.
Starting with a nice piece of Swamp Ash like the other TWANG models, in gets the same rounded edges, forearm and belly relief, the T-8 differs by doing a multi piece neck made of Maple and Walnut for maximum strength and is then topped with an Ebony Fretboard. It uses a 28" scale with 24 frets and is 54mm wide at the nut.
As with all Dream Studio Guitars, we use Seymour Duncan pickups and electronics exclusively. And the T-8 is no different. With a Sentient in the neck and the Nazgul in the bridge. This adds the perfect clarity and Metal tones you are expecting out of your 8 string. Finished in a Satin White Stain, with a tri-level Black/White/Black pickguard and all black control plate, knurled metal knobs and locking Schaller type tuners and Hipshot bridge.
