When we were working with Hawthorne Heights, Mark asked for a YOUNG but in his custom colors.
Well we obliged, and built him a few for tour, a Blue one and a Vanilla Pudding one, like this one here.
We used the same solid Mahogany body and set Mahogany neck, with Ebony Fretboard, and painted it up in this beautifully retro Vanilla Pudding color topped off with the tri level red tortoise pick guard. Now under that gorgeous retro color combination roars the heart of a lion with a pair of Seymour Duncan pick ups, a SH-2 Jazz in the Neck and an SH-4 JB in the Bridge. Two volume controls, Two Tone Controls and a traditional 3 way switch really let you make it sing in your voice.
Like the YOUNG, the Mahogany neck is a 22 fret 24.7" scale, with a classic U profile. But unlike the YOUNG, we used standard BLOCK Mother of Pearl Inlays rather than the Trapezoid Inlays of the YOUNG.
