Sometimes the planets align just right and something beautiful happens. We had been working on the Jupiter Blues, and had a wild hair one night to build something a little more traditional, but with an adventurous side. And with that, the MARS was born.

Keeping in line with the production style of the Jupiter, a chambered Mahogany Body with an Arched Maple Top, the MARS has the heritage for Tone. And when we add in the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat SPH90-1 In the Neck position and a Whole Lotta Humbucker SH-18b in the bridge, she takes on a persona that is uniquely her own and lets you play any kind of Blues, Rock, Country, and Alt you want. And like the Jupiter and the R-3, when you are feeling a little extra nasty, just flick on the Seymour Duncan Fire Storm and get ready to blow the house down!!

Once you are done drooling over the Birdseye Maple Top and the Seymour Duncans, you start to notice the neck sticking out of her curvaceous double cut away body with 3 ply binding, that smooth mahogany with the ultra access bevel on the back, the Ebony fretboard with the MOP fingernail inlays, 22 JUMBO Frets with a 24.6 ( 625mm Scale )  and you know she wants to get down and dirty. Top that off with the 3/3 Gumby head stock with a 42mm Bone Nut and Grover Stay tite tuners. And to finish showing that she is the girl that likes to get dressed up, the Dream Studios Logo is a Mother of Pearl Inlay in the headstock.

She is definitely the girl you can take home to mom, but will make you scream “Good Golly Miss Molly” when you take her out on the town.

As you go back  to the curvaceous body of the Mars, you find the traditional Toggle on the horn to switch and blend the Seymour Duncan Pick ups, and the Fire Storm switch is nestled in an easy access position in between the 2 Volume and 2 Tone Pots to allow you to quickly change the volume and tone and to just give her that quick flick of the finger when it is time to scream.

And as you are looking at the curves and arches of the Birdsey Maple Top you will notice that she has a Tune-O-Matic Bridge for easy intonation set up and a stopbar tailpiece to make it easy to load those strings. And what strings they are, D'addario EXL140 Nickel Wound, Light Top/Heavy Bottom, 10-52 keep you playing and The Speed Knobs make for easy volume and tone control in any type of situation.

The Mars is currently available in 2 color ways, a Clear Black Gold Transparent and Clear Amethyst – both on a birdseye maple top. A few other colors will pop up as we get that wild hair for change.
